Hollow Falls, one of the strangest places ever to exist. Finally settled by plucky German and Brazilian immigrants with their oxcarts and wagons in 1947. Hollow falls had 4 unsuccessful colonization attempts from 1620 to 1820 which resulted in the disappearance of over 500 people. During the annexation of basin falls, a condition was that hollow falls not be allowed into the united states for 100 years and so the valley was left alone. In 1840 the area was inhabited by criminals escaping the law until after two weeks the twelve that remained surrendered to US forces. After it was settled it had a very small population until the Vietnam War where it was the perfect place for draft dodgers. It was finally annexed in 1994 after a brutal 21 day long campaign, despite the fact that the US forces felt no resistance from the locals, only 300 of the 2000 soldiers returned home.
